ASPCA Surpasses $200 Million in Grant Funding to Nationwide Organizations and Animal Welfare Groups
In addition to our lifesaving work in rescue and care for vulnerable animals, the ASPCA also works year-round to provide support to organizations and programs that further our work to help vulnerable and victimized animals across the country. Through our grants funding, we recently celebrated a significant milestone, having to-date, officially given more than $200 million in grant funding to over 3,500 animal shelters, municipal and governmental agencies, rescue groups, universities and other mission-aligned organizations and programs nationwide.
Grants provided by us support a variety of programs ranging from increasing cat, dog and equine adoptions to helping communities build strong programs to rescue, shelter, transport and support animals during natural disasters to partnering with regional food banks in urban areas to serve more than 4.3 million pet food meals since 2017. We also provide grants to organizations dedicated to improving access to veterinary care in their local communities.
Through these grants, organizations and agencies across the country are enabled to help even more animals through their lifesaving programs. We are proud to celebrate this milestone and look forward to seeing the continued impact of our grants work.
