ASPCA Miami Community Veterinary Clinic
The ASPCA offers accessible, affordable basic and preventative veterinary care and spay/neuter services to Miami-Dade County cats and dogs at ASPCA Community Veterinary Clinic (CVC) in the Liberty City community of Miami, Florida. The clinic is staffed with professionally trained, fully licensed veterinarians and technicians, and our teams follow all guidelines established by the Association of Shelter Veterinarians.
The clinic is located between NW 13th Ct. and NW 13th Ave., just east of African Square Park.
Please arrive to appointments on time. If pet parents are more than 15 minutes late, we may need to reschedule and appointment availability is very limited.
Monday through Friday from 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.

- Please note that while our wish is to be able to assist every animal possible, we are limited to the number of animals we can effectively serve daily. Appointments fill quickly, and there may be limited to no availability in the time frame needed for your pet. If this is the case, we may refer you to alternative resources based on the medical need of your pet.
The ASPCA is dedicated to serving Miami-Dade pet owners with limited financial means. To assist as many clients as possible, we offer three pricing tiers for our services:
Clients must provide proof of residency in Miami-Dade County (e.g., state-issued ID, utility bill, piece of mail)
Sample fees for services without proof of public assistance:
- Physical examination: $80
- Rabies vaccine: $10
- Combination vaccine - DA2PP or FVRCP: $20
- Dog spay/neuter surgery: $80
- Cat spay/neuter surgery: $40
Additional fees for treatments or medications may be recommended by the veterinarian after examining your pet–you will be provided an exact estimate prior to treatment or billing.
To qualify, you must bring one of the following documentations to your appointment: Public Housing, Supplemental Security Income, Disability/SSD, Medicaid, Welfare, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Food Stamps, WIC, Food and Nutrition Services, Jackson Memorial Hospital Clinic Care.
Note: To support pet owners during these challenging times, the ASPCA is currently extending financial assistance for clients with proof of unemployment benefits through December 31, 2021.
If you plan to purchase a county dog license from the ASPCA and you qualify for the county's low-income discount, please bring a copy of your current public assistance eligibility award letter to your appointment, as this is required by the county as proof of eligibility.
Sample fees for ASPCA veterinary services with qualifying proof of public assistance:
- Physical examination: $40
- Rabies vaccine: $5
- Combination vaccine - DA2PP or FVRCP: $10

Clients who live within the North-South boundaries of NW 87th St & NW 36th St, and within the East-West boundaries of NW 27th Ave & N Miami Avenue, qualify for free services. To determine if you live within this designated area, please view this map here .

Exception: County dog licenses are offered for sale as a courtesy on behalf of the county according to the county's published fee schedule & guidelines.
The ASPCA CVC offers basic veterinary care for pet cats and dogs. The CVC is not a full-service animal hospital, and the scope of services is limited to the following:

Spay and neuter surgery
Is my pet eligible for spay/neuter?
All animals will be examined by a veterinarian to determine if they appear healthy and can undergo surgery at the CVC. The CVC generally accepts:
- Healthy dogs and cats, no more than 5 years old
- Puppies and kittens that are 8 weeks old and weigh at least 2 lbs.
- Female cats and dogs in heat
- Intact male animals that are at least 4 months old and have no testicles or one testicle in the scrotal sac
- Pregnant cats and dogs
- Dogs/cats that are nursing a litter of puppies/kittens
Not accepted for spay/neuter surgery at the CVC:
- Any species other than cat or dog
- Unhealthy animals
- Animals that are coughing or sneezing, and/or should not have watery eyes, runny noses, sarcoptic mange, and/or ringworm
- Doberman Pinschers without proof of a normal blood test for von Willebrand factor, a blood clotting protein
- Physical Exams
- In-house diagnostics (we do not offer outside lab workups)
- Vaccines, deworming, flea control
- Microchipping
- Treatment for skin, eye, ear, and respiratory infections

The ASPCA Community Veterinary Clinic sells 1- and 3-year licenses (tags) to Miami-Dade County residents:
- No appointment needed.
- Must have proof of current Rabies vaccination.
- Must bring identification (a valid driver's license or passport).
- Miami-Dade County residents who receive public assistance may be eligible for a discounted license (tag). To qualify for a discount, the county requires a current eligibility letter from at least one of the following: Food Stamps, Medicaid, Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Jackson Memorial Hospital Clinic Cards, Temporary Assistance for Needed Families (TANF).
- Humane euthanasia is offered when necessary to relieve suffering and allow owners to make compassionate end-of-life decisions for their pets.
The ASPCA
does not
provide the following services:
- Grooming or routine nail trims
- Pet boarding
- X-rays, blood work or ultrasound
- Overnight hospitalization

Emergency medical care (some examples include excessive bleeding, unresponsive pet, difficulty breathing, actively seizing, bone fractures)
- If your pet requires emergency medical care, go to an emergency veterinary hospital immediately.

- The ASPCA Community Veterinary Clinic is not an animal shelter and does not accept animals for surrender or offer pets for adoption.
In order to help us continue to serve pets in need, we ask that clients who have recently traveled to an area or country with high community level transmission of COVID-19, had any exposure to symptomatic or confirmed positive cases of COVID-19, are confirmed positive themselves, or are feeling ill, to please have another caregiver/family member bring your pet or wait until a later date.
