Meet the big man on campus, Marcus! Marcus’s beaming personality is just about as big as he is! Now that his former life is behind him—he was rescued from a situation where he was living with many other large Caucasian Shepherds—Marcus can’t wait to find a home where he can relax, play and enjoy his new family.

Big fan of: Pets and affection! Once Marcus gets to know you he loves getting all the attention, so much so that despite his size, he may wind up cuddled up in your lap! He enjoys his walks and walks well on-leash. He also loves his dog friends and is playful and energetic in playgroups.

Working on: Warming up to new people. Though Marcus tends to warm up to new people quickly, it is still important to take things slow when you first meet him. Let Marcus decide when he is ready for some love, which tends to happen in short order with this wonderful pup!

Dream home: Marcus would love a family that understands that going to a new home can be scary so he may need some time to open up—but it’s worth the wait! He’s looking for a dedicated adopter who will guide him on the next stage of his journey and would love to have dog friends along for the ride—but he could be an only dog, too!
